Inspired by champion trick rider Mabel Strickland, this painting celebrates the courage, grit, and pioneering spirit of female trick riders of the early 1900's. For 25 years, Mabel competed against men in every rodeo event except steer wrestling, winning many titles, and paving the way for future cowgirls and riders of today.
